Found in the Kimberley region of Western Australian the Boab tree is in the hearts of many especially the Indigenous Australians. It has many practical uses as Aborigines often obtain water from the swollen trunk, use the white powder in the seed pods as food and the leaves are used as medicine. Related to the African baobab tree, they take hundreds, if not thousands of years to grow to full size. A very special Aussie tree, we love the boab!
